The Netherlands Association for Aviation Medicine was founded on the 10th of May 1958 and is associated with the Royal Netherlands Aeronautical Association (KNVvL) via the Department of Aviation Sciences (LVW).
Mission
The Association´s main objectives are to advance the practice, education and research in the field of Aviation and Space Medicine. To reach this goal the maintenance of contact with all aeromedical professionals is essential. The Association studies aeromedical challenges and actively supports research in the field of Aviation and Space Medicine through advice and (limited) funding.

50th Anniversary Congress |
|
This year’s congress commemorates the Association´s 50th Anniversary. The date is Friday 30th of May and the theme is “Extremes in Aviation and Space Medicine”. The location will be Eindhoven Airport Business Centre.

The Congress will be followed by a Association´s Flight from 31st of May to 1st of June. The flight will be conducted from Eindhoven Airport on May 31st to an airfield in the south of England with aircraft of NVvLG members and other jubilee participants. 1st European Conference in Wiesbaden |

The 1st European Conference on Aviation and Space Medicine will be held on August 23rd – 24th in Wiesbaden Germany". Different working groups: AMC's – Internal Medicine – Neurology/Psychiatry - Ophthalmology – ENT – Cardiology give a short presentation on how each nation works under JAA/EASA regulations.
Analysis what is working good and what is working wrong under JAA/EASA regulations. Which issues should be discussed with EASA?
On Sunday Aug 24th a Human Factors in Civil Aviation Panel discusses the topic "would you fly with this pilot?"
